Polar bear Patrol reports about mass mortality of pacific walruses  in the Chukchi Sea in 2007

"Polar Bear Patrol" celebrates its most active members and supporters in 2006-2007

On August 28, 2007 roughly about 10000 walruses hauled out on the Cape Kozhevnikov (northwestern Chukotka)! This happened first time.

New regional natural protected area Natural Monument "Cape Vankarem" is established in Chukotka (Russia). Regulation of the Chykotka Government #109 of August 20, 2007

The fourth international conference "Marine mammals of the Holarctic" took place in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) on September 10-14, 2006

In the Arctic village Dikson (Russian Central Arctic) a poacher was arrested for killing 5 polar bears. Since 2000 it is the first time when such a case was brought into court
